As a result of extensive customer demand, dns is running a series of training courses covering vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, in conjunction with Scotland’s premier IT training company, Learning IT.
This course is the first of several related to IT security that dns and Learning IT plan to offer with the aim of improving the information security skills of organisations internal IT teams.
The first 5-day course, on vulnerability and penetration testing, will run from the 27th November in Edinburgh and the second will run on the 5th February 2007 in Glasgow.
Lee Lawson, Penetration Testing Team Leader at dns said, “The first step for any organisation should be a full understanding of its vulnerabilities. Skills needed to identify these vulnerabilities are often sparse in IT teams who are facing a number of threats on a day to day basis. This course will educate IT professionals on the approaches and techniques used by professional penetration testers to find and understand these vulnerabilities. Key to this course is the hands-on nature we will take using lab sessions.”
Kerr Wintersgill, Corporate Training Sales at Learning IT said, “We have seen a real demand for quality training courses on a range of information security topics, especially penetration testing. We are very excited about being able to combine our training experience and expertise with dns’ leading information security skills to create a course of this calibre for our clients.”
Learning IT is already taking registrations for both of the initial dates. Demand is high so if you would like to reserve a place, please contact Kerr Wintersgill of Learning IT on, 01786 478 478 or KarenWilson@learningit.com.
