dns was founded in June 1999 and has grown rapidly and effectively over the past six years. In 2002 we launched our managed security services suite, completing the full package of information security solutions and also making dns the largest provider of security solutions in Scotland. The market for managed security services is one of the fastest growing areas in the security arena and in turn MSS accounts for a significant proportion of our business.
In 2004 we were listed 37th in the Tech Track 100 which ranks Britain's fastest-growing unquoted tech companies based on sales growth. In the same year we won the Fast 50 competition officially making us the fastest growing technology company in Scotland. dns won the Edinburgh and Lothian Business Excellence Award for Best Performing Business in 2005 only five years after winning the Start-up of the Year in the same competition.
