EMEA Growth Award for dns

dns is officially the fastest growing information security company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa according to the Deloitte Fast 500 programme. The results announced during December 2005 placed dns amongst the fastest growing technology companies for the third year in a row.

The company was founded by Graeme Cox, Stuart Fraser and James Macintyre in 1999, and is now recognised as the leading information security services organisation in Scotland, and a noted player in the UK blue-chip security consulting and managed services market.

Commenting on the award, Managing Director Graeme Cox said: “We are delighted to be named the fastest growing information security company in EMEA and involved in the awards for the third year in a row. Our vision at dns is to become the leading independent provider of quality information security solutions and services in the UK, and this award shows that we are well on the way.”

Deloitte created the Technology Fast 500, now in its fifth year, to reach out to EMEA technology companies and champion innovation in the sector, tracking the growth rates of technology companies throughout the world.

The Technology Fast 500 programme seeks out those companies that have shown impressive growth rates in the telecommunications, hardware, software and biotechnology markets over the last five financial years. All companies considered for the award must be headquartered in EMEA region, must be technology-intensive or use unique technology in problem solving, or must devote a high percentage of effort to research and development.

Fred Hallsworth, head of technology at Deloitte in Scotland & Northern Ireland, said: “The Fast 500 programme has always been a reliable indicator of whether British innovation is leading to more growth and wealth creation. These companies have demonstrated how to survive and thrive in today’s market by helping their customers reduce their costs and improve their performance, and our congratulations go to them on their significant achievements.”
